The name of the place is a hommage to a design shop that used to reside at the same spot on Linienstraße in Mitte. Exiled Austrians have turned the former shop into a légère café: Christian Steinrode serves housemade and imported snacks from their Alpine homeland, meanwhile combining Mitte's trashy style with Austrian charme and taste into a beautiful "melange". He also treats his customers to Käsekrainer and Debreziner from Linz, a hearty Goulash and Viennese sandwiches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and breakfast and cakes on all other days of the week. Try the Bohemian nut torte - a dream of biscuit, creme filling with a touch of fruity flavor.
