Che Max Strohe and host Ilona Scholl bring back the epicurean Belle Epoque at Tulus Lotrek.

With the name Tulus Lotrek, chef Max Strohe and host Ilona Scholl are thinking back to the epicurean Belle Epoque. There is plenty of energy, creativity, a certain naive boldness, a quirky sense of humour, love of detail and love of cooking. In the former Couchon Bourgeois, a different cuisine and hosting style has moved in.

The type of food? Let‘s just say his food is bold and innovative but always linked to classic cuisine. For example, raw-milk butterwith an egg yolk on top has a supple fullness. The following beef tartare is always worth the visit.

Dessert is a bitter-sweet surprise: Matcha mixed to a cream with rice milk, pine nut ice cream and the bowl is covered with a thin sheet of pine nut honey caramel. The vegetarians among us can enjoy the carrot dumpling. The inside is soft and fluffy, the combination of kohlrabi with blueberry and sour cream puts anyone in a good mood. (emh)
